WE ARE PAINED TO LEARN OF THE DEATH OF DR. VIRGINIUS B. BILISOLY WHICH TOOK PLACE WED EVE THE 15TH INSTANT AT 7:30PM. AT HIS FARM NEAR BOWERS HILL IN NORFOLK COUNTY. His illness was a long one alternated with days of hope and days of gloom. But the death messenger came at last and he passed away quiety away like aspark which revives for a moment then goes out forever. He was born in this city August 1826 and received the name Virginius Bartholomew and when he died was in his 47th year. Perhaps none of our citizens were better known or more highly respected than DR. BILISOLY. HIS practice in the city was large and increasing until decling health compelled him to forego it and seek rest in the country. during the late war he was present at the battles of CORINTH AND SHILOH in the capacity of surgeon of an ALABAMA REGIMENT in the confederate army. and afterwards surgeon president of the medical board of SELMA ALABAMA UNDER GENERAL DICK TAYLOR. His remains will be brought to this city today by a special train which will start from his late residence on high street for that purpose at 9am. and his fuenral take place form ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH TODAY 10AM.

HE FORMERLY RESIDED IN APPOMATTOX BUT RECENTLY MOVED TO CHARLOTTE.

We lament to say that COLONEL THOMAS J. CORPEW DIED on Saturday night, at his rooms on Main street. His friends have prepared for this announcment for some time, but the news has fallen on them with a painful weight and it is difficult for them to realize their loss. COLONEL COPREW WAS BORN IN PRINCESS ANNE COUNTY IN 1830 AND WAS CONSEQUENTLY 43 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.  his obit is lenghty and family may email me for the rest.

Death of a former Norfolk Merchant. It is with pain that we announce the death of MR. EDWIN D. SEAL, former well known merchant of this city, but who has resided for some years in Baltimore, his death occured in that city on Saturday last from paralysis. The remains were brought to this city on the boat yesterday morning for interment here.
