IN OUR ISSUE OF YESTERDAY WE ALLUDED TO THE FACT THAT THE REV. W.C. BLOUNT HAD BEEN SHOT WHILE ON HIS OWN PREMISES BY A NEGRO WHO LIKE MANY OF HIS CASTE WAS CARELESSLY FIRING OFF A WEAPON very long article.

HE WAS KILLED ON THE 20TH OF SEPTEMBER 1864 NEAR SYCAMORE CHURCH. MR. SMITH DESIRES US TO SAY THAT SHOULD THIS MEET THE EYES OF THE FRIENDS OF THE DECEASED AND THEY WILL COMMUNICATE WITH THEM ON THE SUBJECT HE WILL FURNISH A COFFIN AND BRNG THE BODY TO PETERSBURG.

SUDDENLY AT 9PM ON WED EVENING THE 21ST INSTANT MRS. SARAH BOCKOVER WIFE OF T. BOCKOVER OF THIS CITY, IN THE 42ND YEAR OF HER AGE.  HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE AT GRANBY STREET METHODIST CHURCH.
