MR. PETER BROWN, THE PORTER AND WATCHMAN OF THE FARMERS BANK, WAS DISCOVERED YESTERDAY MORNING BY OFFICER HUGHES,
IN THE VICINITY OF THE NEW CEMETERY, IN A STATE OF EXTRA ORDINARY STUPOR, SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEENINDUCED BY TOO LARGE A DOSE OF LAUDANUM. THE UNFORTUNATE MAN WAS TAKEN TO HIS RESIDENCE ON BANK STREET WEHRE HE RECIEVED THE MOST SKILLFUL AND PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION..............AFTER THE ABOVE HAD BEEN PUT TO TYPE, WE WERE INFORMED OF THE DEATH OF MR. B. WHICH TOOK PLACE YESTERDAY AT 5PM. HE LEAVES A WIFE AND SEVERAL CHILDREN.

ON THE 26TH OF APRIL IN HOPES OF EVERLASTING LIFE. MRS. ELIZABETH HUNTER AGE 55, WIDOW OF THE LATE COL. JACOB HUNTER OF PRINCESS ANNE COUNTY.

AT THE MEETING OF THE MEDICAL FACULTY OF THE CITY OF NORFOLK, HELD ON THE 26TH INSTANT. DR. E.O. BALFOUR BEING CALLED TO THE CHAIR AND DR. HENRY SELMON APPOINTED SECRETARY. THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS WERE ADOPTED.

THAT THE MEDICAL FACULTY OF THIS CITY HAVE RECEIVED WITH DEEP REGRET THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE DEATH OF DR. BAYNHAM BAYLOR, WHO AS A MAN AND AS A PHYSICIAN WAS ENDEARED TO THIS COMMUNITY.
