THE NEW ORLEANS PAPER ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF MRS. AMY BLANCHARD AT NATCHITOEHES  (THOUGHT HER RESIDENCE WAS AT RAPIDES) ON THE 15TH OF DEC. SHE WAS THE OLDEST DAUGHTER OF COL. THOMAS NEWTON SR. FOLLOWING THE FORTUNES OF HER HSUBAND THE LATE THOMAS BLANCHARD, SHE LEFT THE PALCE OF HER NATIVITY IN THE YEAR 1811 AND BECAME AND CONTINUED TIL HER DEATH A RESIDENT OF LOUISIANNA. SHE HAS LEFT TWO SONS AND MAY GRANDCHILDREN IN THAT STATE. AMONG THEM COL. THOMAS NEWTON HER BROTHER AND THE DECENDANTS OF 4 SISTERS. SHE WAS 70.

DIED IN PORTSMOUTH YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AGE 79, CAPT. JOHN THOMPSON A LONG RESIDENT OF THAT TOWN AND ONE OF IT'S MOST PROMINENT CITIZENS. HE REPRESENTED THE COUNTY OF NORFOLK IN THE  LEGISLATURE FOR SEVERAL SESSIONS. HIS FUNERAL WILL TAKE PLACE AT HIS RESIDENCE THIS AFTERNOON AT 5PM.

DIED YESTERDAY AT 2AM. JUDSON INFANT SON OF EDWARD A. AND ANN BARNES AGE 16 MONTHS.
