THE FREEMASON STREET BAPTIST CHURCH WAS THE SCENE OF A LARGE GATHERING YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, THE OCCASION BEING THE MARRIAGE OF MR. OWEN BELOTE TO MISS F. EDWARDS, DAU. OF THE LATE MR. JOHN A. EDWARDS. THE CEREMONY WAS PERFORMED BY REV. DR. J. L. BURROWS, PASTOR OF THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE BEING ATTIRED IN ANOLINE GREEN TRAVELING COSTUME, & THE GROOM IN BLACK. THE COUPLE WERE UNATTENED ,S AVE BY THE FOLLOWING GENTLEMEN, WHO ACTED USHERS: WILLIAM NEWSTEAD, THOMAS BLICK, S.H. ELLISON,GEORGE BAIN, ALL OF NORFOLK. MR & MRS. BROWN WERE UNITED IN MARRIAGE AT THE RESIDENCE OF THE BRIDE'S FATHER, ON DINWIDDIE ST. THE CEREMONY WAS PERFORMED BY REV. FATHER BRADY & AFTER A HEARTY RECEPTION THEY WERE DRIVIN TO THE BAY LINE WHARF WHERE THEY TOOK THE STEAMER FOR A NORTHERN TOUR.

AT. 4:30PM YESTERDAY AFTERNOON MR. F.F. MCWILKIE, A YOUNG LAWYER OF THIS CITY, WAS MARRIED TO MIS SNELLIE VAN LEER, OF PA, WHO WAS VISITNG FRIENDS IN BERKLEY. THE CEREMONY WAS PERFORMED BY THE REV. MR. GATEWOOD OF NORFOLK AT. ST. PAUL'S P.E CHURCH IN BERKLEY. AFTER RECEIVING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THEIR FRIENDS, THEY CAME OVER TO THIS CITY & TOOK THE BAY LINE STEAMER FOR A TRIP NORTH.

THE RESIDENCE OF DR. RICHARD P. WALTON, ON CLAY AVE, BRAMBLETON, WAS TEH SCENE OF A SMALL GATHERINE AT 6AM YESTERDAY MORNING , THE OCCASION BEING THE MARRIAGE OF MISS LOULIE E. WALTON TO MR. HENRY T. BELL OF LEWISBURG WEST VA. REV. ROBERT A. WALTON, OF OWINSVILLE KY, BROTHER OF TEH BRIDE PERFORMED TEH CEREMONY, BEING ASSISTED BY REV. E. MCCLEUR, PASTOR OF THE PARK AVE. PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. AFTER THE CEREMONY MR. & MRS. BELL LEFT AT ONCE FOR THE HOME OF THE GROOM AT LEWISBURG WHICH WILL BE THERI FUTURE RESIDENCE.

THE RESIDENCE OF MR. WILLIAM R. HUDGINS WAS THE SCENE OF A HAPPY GATHERING YESTERDAY MORNING, THE OCCASION BEING THE MARRIAGE OF HIS DAU, MISS MAMIE TO MR. MALVIN H. FOSTER. REV. W.V. TUDOR TIED THE NUPTIAL KNOT. AFTER WHICH MR. & MRS. FOSTER, AFTER RECEIVING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THEIR MANY FRIENDS LEFT  FOR A NORTHERN TOUR VIA THE NYP AN N. RAILROAD. THE PRESENTS WERE VERY NUMEROUS AND BEAUTIFUL &  MANY OF THEM EXCEEDINGLY COSTLY.

AUG 30 1888

QUITE A LARGE NUMBER OF FRIENDS ASSEMBLED AT THE RESIDENCE OF HENRY T. BARNES, NEAR VA BCH, ON THE EVENING OF TEH 21ST TO WITNESS THE MARRIAGE OF HIS BEAUTIFUL YOUNG DAU., MISS AMANDA TO MR. WILLIAM CAROLL OF LIFE SAVING STATION NO. 3 AND A WORTHY YOUNG MAN. THE CEREMONY WAS PERFORMED BY REV. F.C. CLARKE, AFTER WHICH THE LARGE CROWD PARTOOK OF A SUMPTOUOUS SUPPER PROVIDED BY THE HOSPITABLE HOST.

SEPT. 28 1888

MISS LILLIE B. LEIGH, DAU OF MR. JAMES Y LEIGH AND MR. GEOFFREY MORGAN WERE QUIETLY MARRIED AT THE RESIDENCE OF REV. DR. MCCLEUR IN BRAMBLETON, THURS. EVENING AT 7PM IN THE PRESENCE OF A FEW FRIENDS. THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE MARRIAGE WAS NOT MADE PUBLIC UNTIL LAST EVENING,& WAS A CONSIDERABLE SURPRISE.
MR. & MRS. MORGAN REC'D THE CONGRATULATIONS OF MANY FRIENDS LAST NIGHT, WHO EXTENDED THEIR BEST WISHES.
