SAMPLES OF THIS WEEK'S EMAILS.
You will notice, the "lack" of info with the request was the reason they were not completed.
1. WHERE CAN I FIND AN OBIT FOR 1970?
It took some control not to write back "in the newspaper". Instead I wrote, which state, which county which city?
2. CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT MY GREAT GRANDFATHER?
UH? let me think? no! It's not like i'm a relative or anything. And i wasn't told name, state, county, years etc......... besides i don't do living or "recent" events aka after 1900...................
3. CAN YOU TELL ME THE HISTORY OF MY HOUSE? hum? wouldn't that be a real estate agents job? but anyway, i refered her to the local library where such histories as taxes, land records and other reference items might be kept.
Also suggested her local court house.......................

nope not that............
so i wrote back and asked Why are you writing to me?
I actually got back: I visited old bethpage a few years ago and went to college at xyz. and i wanted to know if john smith did anything extraordinary while he was in new york?
NOW, how in the world am I supposed to know if your ancestor did any thing extra ordinary during his or her life time?

OVER IT.............
I'm just having one of those days. I think everyone has one of THOSE days. I just want to scream for no apparent reason.
During the day they play those "ept" commercials or the "huggies or Lovs" or toys r us or other baby related commercials and i just want to SCREAM...................
I'm 40 years old, never used anything to prevent anything. Married over 11 years.
And no kids go figure.........................
I'm sorry it's me feeling sorry for myself.
I have have to be happy with all the cats we have.
All those personalities. Just like kids, they do something cute we take a picture.
but then again, I sometimes wonder, why? it's not like there is anyone to show them to? Besides 90% of the time it takes a year or two to develop the film.
I'm going to go cheer myself up and read DANSE for the 10th time. and then maybe start with guilty pleasures and work myself up to danse again. Gee, I wish june would get here yesterday. I can't wait for Harlequin.............

VERY SICK..........................
I have been ill since Friday Jan 5. Sat was the beginning of those flu like things,
acky, eyes and nose running from sinus, headache, chills. coughing, It's awful and i look like rudolph the red nose raindeer.
We managed (my husband did driving) to make to the post office to ship the books that had sold on ebay before I went home to bed and have been there ever since.
In my delerium I mailed a package first class instead of priority. I even refunded the shipping money and the person is still giving me lip. First time I ever mailed something wrong. Of course it's the sickest I've been in a couple of years. If they could make a medicine besides sudafed, it would help.
Then I accidentally erased a page on the Norfolk Web Site a page that was created long before I ever was admin. So I've been trying to restore it. Did not work.
My eyes are tearing and I can barely see, I did a few and gave up.
I think it's time to go back to bed.
One last thing, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, when asking for a look up.
Please say On your www.nyvagenealogy.homestead.com web site on the ny naturalizations page i found my ancestor john smith page 400 and would like more info.
or
ON your Norfolk Website on wills 1637-1710 I found John Smith page 22 and would like more info.
Same for PAC SITE.
