Mr. and Mrs. Henry Garrett Luhring Jr. announce the birth of a son, Henry Garrett Luhring, III on Thursday May 15, at De Paul Hospital, Mrs. Luhring is the former Miss Alice Beauchamp Crenshaw, daughter of Capt. Russell Sydnor Crenshaw. USN retired, and Mrs. Crenshaw of Birdneck Point Virginia Beach.

Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Hume and their two children who are living on Fairfax Ave. will move tomorrow to their new home at 1126 Westover Ave.

Mrs. Ellen J. Coon, her son, Billy and her cousin Mrs. Ruby Wright have left for St. Petersburg, Fla., where they will spend several weeks with Mrs. Wrights brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. V.U Pitt, and their daughter, Nancy.

Miss Margaret Montomery Matthews a student at the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill will arrive May 28, to spend the summer vacation with her parents, Dr. & Mrs. Robert Matthews at their home on Meadow Brook Point.

William Waff had as his guests for the past weekend at the Summer home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herber Lee, at Virginia Beach, Dorothy Wallace, Fay Peeples, Thomas Morrisette and Hugh Marshall.
 
Mrs. C. R. Johnson of Pinetwon N.C announces the marriage of her daughter, Miss Frances jeanette Johnson to Sgt. Lewis Maynard, son of Mr.s W. M. Maynard of Asheville N.C. and the late Mr. Maynard. The ceremony took place Saturday May 10 , at the parsonage of the Baptist Minister in Newport News. The couple is residing in Newport news.

Lt. Comdr. Edwin Louis Kyte, USN, Mrs. Kyte and their four children, who have been at Buzzards Bay, Mass, for the past 2 years will arrive this weekend for a visit with Mrs. Kyte's parents, Mr. & Mrs L.W. Taxwell, at their home on Fairfax Ave. They will later go to Eastern shore where commander Kyte has been ordered for duty at the Chincoteague air base.


Miss Dorothy Duvall Brown and Sherrman Field Smith Jr. Whose marriage will take place Saturday night at 8pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd, will be  honor guest at a cocktail party tomorrow afternoon given by Mr. and Mrs. Barron F. Black at their home in Lochaven. The hours are from 5pm to 7pm and the guests wiill number around 50.

Mrs. Richard M. Smith and her daughter Miss Anne Hammond Smith will entertain at a luncheon Friday at the Norfolk Yacht  and Country Club in honor of Miss Brown.

Brownie Troop 137 from the Garrison Williams School clebrated it's final meeting of the season Tuesday in the Canary Room of Burroughs Resturant. The luncheon was arranged by Brownie Leader Mrs. Stuart C. Fitzgerald and Assitant Leader by Mrs. Don J. Smith. Brownie guests incluced Victoria Ballard, Nancy Bell, Hendress Fitzgerald, Barbara Foote, LInda Footee, Kay Hardy, Linda Foote, Kay Hardy, Linda Latham. Lynne Long, Mary Margret Prue. Mrs. Walter J. Wilkins entertained yesterday at the Norfolk Yacht & Country club in honor of her son, Herbert Lee Wilkins, who celebrated his 4th birthday anniversary. Mrs. Robert Coupland who is visiting her sister in law, Miss MIldred Coupoland, in the Albemarle Court Appartmetns, will be joined this weekend by her husband , Robert Coupland, of Baltimore, and her brother in law, col. Temple coupland, USA, of Washington and with them will sunday to their home.
