GEORGE H. HOYT THE YOUNG LAWYER OF BOSTON, WHO WENT TO VA TO DEFEND JOHN BROWN ON HIS TRIAL IS NOW LT. COLONEL OF THE 15TH KANSAS CALVARY.

MISS MARIAN MACARTAY FORMERLY AN ACTRESS OF SOME CONSIDERABLE REPUTE DIED AT THE  INSANE ASYLUM, INDIANAPOLIS ON MONDAY MORNING OF CONGESTION OF THE BRAIN. SHE HAD BEEN AN INMATE OF THE ASYLUM FOR NEARLY 2 YEARS. ABOUT 3 YRS AGO SHE WAS A LEADING SOUBRETTE IN LAURA KEEN'S THEATRE IN THIS CITY.  

MR. JOHN H. BRADY THE LAST OF THE STATE PRISONERS AT FORT LAFAYETTE, WAS RELEASED ON SATURDAY.
